Nate has been really busy lately with one of his famous projects!! Ha ha...this guy seriously loves to take on a lot! He decided to start a HUGE PROGRAM at the UNLV DENTAL SCHOOL.
To put it extremely simply...he started a Dental Simulation Course where predental students sign-up, pay, and come for a two-day hands-on course. He organized it, planned it, and with the help of a few friends made the whole idea come to fruition. Let me tell you...IT WAS AWESOME!
He had two courses, 155 predental students from 23 different universities, 69 dental student volunteers, and 20 faculty and staff volunteers. YEAH...big scoop here! The courses seriously filled up within a week and many people had to be turned away because there was just not enough room.
While the predental students were there they got hands-on experience doing the following: waxing, alginate impressions, dental anatomy, amalgam class ones, composite class ones, and caries detection. They truly learned a lot and had a lot of fun!! Many of them commented on how they want to come back again next year! The faculty and staff of the school were so impressed that Nate's program will now be a bi-yearly tradition!! Way-to-go NATE!! GO UNLV! Ha ha...school pride.
