Hooray. This would be my first completion of a tag. Yeah for me. This is for you my friends. Love ya!
Seven Interesting Things:
I love ROMANCE.
I am in love with TRUE LOVE. Mushy as it may sound, I believe in all things fairytale and that every girl has a prince charming. I love romantic gestures such as flowers, chocolates, love notes, surprise getaways, holding doors, letting a woman have your seat, and dancing under the stars! I love romantic books – the Twilight Series was right up my alley!! I love happy endings. I love old-fashioned movies and chick flicks. It seems that a hundred years ago the world was full of romance, chivalry, honor, and PASSION. What happened? Sometimes I think I was born a hundred years too late. Saved for the last days I guess. Ha. Now don’t get me wrong – I love my hairdryer, cell phone, and modern luxuries just as much as the next person – but there is just something about living back then that catches my fancy. The dresses, the innocence, the valor. The ROMANCE. In elemenary/junior high my friends and I used to write notes to each other as if we were living back then. We had made up names and families and we would write about frolicking in the forest, baking apple tarts, and riding our favorite horses through the meadows with dashing young men! We had quite the imaginations! But truly doesn’t that sound like fun – riding off into the sunset with Prince Charming. Sigh. Sigh Again.
I am a CAR SINGER.
Yep. That would be me – the crazy lady next to you rocking out to her music in the car! I truly think I do my best singing in the car. I tell Bella she is LUCKY to be in the car with me. She doesn’t think she is so lucky. Ha ha. I have this strange uncanny ability to remember lyrics. By the end of a new song I usually have most of the lyrics down. Nate tells me I would be awesome on Don’t forget the Lyrics! Ha Ha. I can also sing pretty much any Disney song VERBATIM! Sad – but true! Singing in the car is the best – let loose – TRY IT!
I have a thing with NUMBERS.
Maybe this is a little OCD-ish but there are certain numbers and combinations of numbers that bother me. Prime numbers seem to really bother me - like 7, 11, 13, 17, and 19 - ugly. However 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 seem pretty to me. Sometimes, when placed appropriately with pretty numbers, ugly ones won’t seem so bad. But it also works the other way around too, when placed with ugly numbers, pretty numbers can become ugly. This is so not logical! HA.
UGLY NUMBERS:
7, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 77, 47, 469, 793, 113, etc.
PRETTY NUMBERS:
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 12, 14, 15, 16, 24, 28, 528, 780, 234, etc.
Anyways – you get my point – well probably not. Ha. Maybe it has something to do with the shape of the numerals. Who knows? This even carries over to address numbers and calendar days. I try to plan fun activities such as parties, celebrations (my wedding) and even births on pretty numbered days! Unfortunately Sophie came a day late. Poor girl was born on the 7th.
I love PHOTOGRAPHY.
I LOVE to take pictures. There is something so thrilling about getting a great shot! I think I take about fifty pictures a day…sometimes more! Bella does not like this little hobby of mine. Luckily for her I have a new little subject to photograph – and she can’t run away from me! (Love you Soph!) I don’t have a SLR, but someday I am going to get one - preferably with a really nice lens! Santa? I would also love to take some photography classes. Anyone know of any in town? And while I’m asking – anyone recommend a good SLR?
I DON’T have my EARS PIERCED!
When I was little I really wanted it done but my mom encouraged me to wait until I was 14. So I waited. But once 14 - I was fully aware of what “piercing” a.k.a. sticking a needle through your ear meant!! Ouch. Funny thing...my sister doesn't have her ears pierced either! We both must be scared of needles! Ha - true!
I love BIG WINDOWS with a view.
I probably like big windows because they are kind of like picture frames except the picture inside changes often! It is so fun to look out when it is storming or raining and knowing you are safe inside. Or looking out and seeing the leaves falling off the trees. It’s refreshing and invigorating. Kind of gives me a spring in my step! I also love when the light streams through the window in the morning. So peaceful!
And last but certainly NO LEAST.
I love PEDICURES and MANICURES.
There is just something so fun and fancy about having your toes and fingers pampered and painted – especially – when you get your toes painted BUBBLEGUM PINK! (my favorite!)
