Chris and Ren's Wedding

What a weekend!! It was beautiful, fun, emotional and HOT! Ha ha. I just love going to temple weddings - and then because it was my brother's it was just that much more special! Chris and Ren looked so cute and were/are SO IN LOVE. Ha ha. The sealing was amazing - so so spiritual. Their sealer was one of the best I have ever heard and we all walked out of the room feeling like we had learned so much! After the sealing we waited for them outside and snapped only a few pictures (hence the lack of photos) because of the extreme heat. (They took their wedding photos a few days before.)

After the wedding we went to their wedding luncheon. It was a hip and modern little sandwich shop and I was able to take some cute photos of Bella and Conner (more of these to come!).

And then - we went to the reception. Yummy food, dancing, cupcakes, family and friends made the whole day so much fun. And as they walked out to the car we had sparklers. SO CUTE! Anyways - congrats Chris and Ren! It was a great day and we were so glad to be apart of it!

Wedding Weekend

I'm so excited my little brother is getting married!! CRAZY!

Today marks a monumental occasion. Applications to ORTHO SCHOOL are DONE.

Finally.

Now we wait. We are excited to see what happens...where we'll end up...if we get in...who knows! Our future is in the mail.

little lady party

Sophie is ONE and her little lady party was a blast! We celebrated the fun day with FAMILY!! Grandpa and Grandma Noorda, Paul, Cami and Ethan, Julie and Tayla, and Grandma Hawley! Sophie was so cute in her little ladybug shirt and converse shoes. Love them. She totally rocked some cute fashion on her big day.

We started out the party by swimming - I forgot the the sunscreen - WHOOPS - so Sophie's cheeks got a little sunkissed. We then had polka dot pizza (pepperoni), salad, watermelon, pineapple, and black spots (oreos). Ha ha. That was my attempt to be creative with the food.

We played a "collecting the dots" game with all the kiddos. Who knew that picking up little red pieces of paper could be so fun. Ha ha. They were running around in the grass picking up as many red dots many as they could - and eating them. HA.

Then we had cake! Daddy made it - he makes all of our cakes. It's those dental hand skills being put to good use in the kitchen! Ha ha. The cake was AWESOME! This year he took on a ladybug and I have to say it turned out quite fabulous! It took him THREE hours just to ice the thing! We sure love you Daddy. Sophie also got her very own LITTLE cake - unfortunately our kids just don't like cake. Sophie was all excited about the candle and then when it was time to eat the cake she didn't really give us any reaction. She tasted it - fingered it a little - and was done. Bella was the same way. What's up? Ha ha.

After cake, we opened presents! Sophie got some way fun presents and cards! Thanks everyone! And thanks for making Sophie's first birthday so special! We sure love our little ONE YEAR OLD!

WHAT? Where did the time go? My SOPHIE is almost one! In less then SIX days will be celebrating a very ladylike party for our cute little bug! I have been keeping busy trying to get everything ready. I just love parties. Funny - I think Bella has picked up my party craziness because she has been all about helping me make the decorations. It's so nice to have another party girl in the fam!
