I can’t believe that in a week she will be four. FOUR! Where did the time go? Doesn’t it just go by too fast – I mean she was just a baby yesterday and now – now she is little Miss Bella. Sweet and sensitive – girlie to the core – lover of all things princess – and ballerina extraordinaire. I’m so lucky I get to be her mama.

In honor of this momentous occasion, Bella and I decided we would do a special 4 YEAR OLD photo shoot! Just Mommy and Bella. Ha ha. I was kind of shocked when she was rather excited…taking pictures is something she has learned to endure…ha ha…so when she was literally excited by the prospect – I jumped on it! We gathered up some of our clothes…made some cute headbands and were on our way! It was really fun taking pictures of her – my baby – the whole reason I embarked on this photography journey. She is so beautiful…inside and out! We frolicked in grassy fields…made wishes on dandelions…stomped in mud puddles…picked flowers…and more. So.much.fun. We finished the night with some ice cream – truly a perfect evening.

These pictures make me smile – big. They are so her. Hope they make you smile too! Thanks for looking!

Grandpa Noorda turns 80!!

Recently my grandpa turned 80, so the family got together to celebrate! I, of course, wanted to snap a few pictures of the festive occasion - and I am so glad I did. I snuck my grandpa and grandma out into the backyard and told them to sit next to each other. That's pretty much all I did - they did the rest. Joking with each other - making fun of each other (ha ha) - quick wit - humor - kisses - a lifetime of love. I was able to just sit back and snap pics of the moment. We were done in a matter of minutes...maybe seconds...but the pictures are timeless!! I will cherish these simple - but sweet - images forever. These two young lovebirds are still as cute as ever. They have accomplished so much and lived so well - together!

We're still here...

Yes...that's right. We are still using this blog as our family blog...so don't anyone go anywhere! My mom told me the other day that my last post sounded like I was moving EVERYTHING over to my photog blog - but that's not the case! We've jsut been crazy busy and sick as of late so my poor little family blog got put on the backburner.

Not any more.

At least that is what I tell myself. So - please check back soon. We've got some crazy girl pics...some Easter pics...and maybe a few videos! Hopefully ya'll are still with us. TAP TAP...is this thing on? I hope.

In the meantime - here is a new little nugget - took the girls out the to dry lake bed. So funny. They liked just sitting on the bench and watching the cars...I caught this tender moment just before an argument broke out over who got what side on the bench. Silly girls. Love them.
